What if my child is unwell?
If your child is unwell, please ring the school office on 01623 484512 to let us know. If you are not able to ring, the office team will contact you for a reason why your child is absent from school. Any unexplained absences will be recorded as unauthorised.
Hillopoly, Golden Gate and Rewards
To promote and celebrate good, regular attendance, school uses a number of initiatives including:
Hillopoly: Our Monopoly-themed attendance board is played weekly. The top 3 classes (2 best attenders and 1 most improved) roll the dice to land on an attendance reward.

olden Gate: We surprise our Abbeyhillians with a Golden Gate! This is when a raffle ticket is given out on the gate to every child in the line on time by ten to nine.
The raffle is drawn on the following recognition assembly!

ersonal Bests: Every class has a class chart which tracks their attendance achievement. Being above our whole-school target of 96% (or bettering the week before) earn a sticker and stickers make whole-class prizes like an extra playtime or a pizza party!
